2015 Inaugural Cerner Intelligence Connect Competition Winner: Enhancing Inpatient Insulin Management

Crossings Healthcare Solutions was honored with the inaugural Intelligence Connect award at the 2015 Cerner Health Conference for the success of Crossings’ creation of their Insulin Advisors. Marreddy Yeruva, MD, Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer at UHS of Delaware, Inc. along with Chuck Moore, Senior Nursing Informaticist received the award. 2015 Dynamic Documentation All Star Award at Spring Cerner Physician Community Meeting

Crossings Healthcare Solutions was selected as the recipient of the 2015 Documentation All Star Award by Cerner. Inpatient physician documentation is the third phase of Crossings’ Cerner implementation.

“Our goal was to provide busy physicians with a one-stop shop for reviewing the electronic chart and providing and documenting patient care, with the most automation and the minimal amount of effort,” said Ori Lotan, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer for Crossings.

Since implementing the dynamic documentation, Crossings has seen 50 to 90 percent reduction in transcriptions and physicians at the hospitals are providing helpful feedback and positive interactions. Dynamic documentation also reduces the need for physicians to remember to review, correct and sign dictated documents.

“Our configuration of dynamic documentation can pull in 70 to 80 percent of the discharge summary, which is a big time saver for clinicians.”
