2015 Dynamic Documentation All Star Award at Spring Cerner Physician Community Meeting

2015 Documentation All Star AwardCrossings Healthcare Solutions was selected as the recipient of the 2015 Documentation All Star Award by Cerner. Inpatient physician documentation is the third phase of Crossings’ Cerner implementation.

“Our goal was to provide busy physicians with a one-stop shop for reviewing the electronic chart and providing and documenting patient care, with the most automation and the minimal amount of effort,” said Ori Lotan, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer for Crossings.

Since implementing the dynamic documentation, Crossings has seen 50 to 90 percent reduction in transcriptions and physicians at the hospitals are providing helpful feedback and positive interactions. Dynamic documentation also reduces the need for physicians to remember to review, correct and sign dictated documents.

“Our configuration of dynamic documentation can pull in 70 to 80 percent of the discharge summary, which is a big time saver for clinicians.”
