Crossings Healthcare and Goliath Technologies announce new partnership

End User Experience Monitoring and Management module available to Cerner customers

Goliath TechnologiesCrossings Healthcare Solutions recently announced a partnership with Goliath Technologies to collaborate with and share their End User Experience Monitoring & Management Module for Cerner. The module is healthcare IT’s only EMR/EHR performance-monitoring software that provides a complete end-to-end view from the hospital to the Cerner Data Center. It enables hospital IT professionals to get real-time performance metrics on Citrix, end user experience, application logon times, and reporting and analysis from logon to accessing their Cerner application.

The module gives advanced warning of potential issues and provides reports and analytics so hospitals can work with Cerner to permanently resolve these issues. Logons to Cerner run behind the scenes 24/7 at the hospital location, alerting you quicker than real time if there is a logon failure or lag time. This provides identification of issues before they are noticed by the end user community. The Logon Simulator for Cerner can be configured in minutes from any hospital location.

Justin Monnig, General Manager of Crossings Healthcare Solutions, says Goliath Technologies has the only solution that combines the ability to preemptively alert if clinicians will have difficulty with Cerner or Citrix when accessing or using Cerner. “This provides us with a predictive warning system that is better than real time and is one of the reasons we selected Goliath as a partner.”

The Goliath Technologies Cerner Module is in use at 25 acute care facilities. The architecture allows UHS IT professionals to consistently ensure that Cerner XenApp- delivered applications will launch sessions properly from remote hospital locations when clinicians or healthcare workers attempt to access Cerner. Assurance tests run 24/7/365, and if there is a failure or system lag, a real-time alert is sent to the administrator to isolate the root cause. Using this module fosters collaboration between the hospital IT group and Cerner by providing greater transparency and streamlining communications to help expedite issue resolution.
