Crossings Completes Roll Out Of Enhanced Dynamic Documentation

The optimized Dynamic Documentation tool with Dragon® Medical One features 10 Crossings developed components and multiple specialty-specific smart templates to pull in and aggregate data for physician documentation.

Crossings has completed the roll out of Enhanced Dynamic Documentation coupled with the Dragon® Medical One voice recognition system at all 25 Universal Health Services hospitals. The tool utilizes the workflow MPage as a ‘one-stop shop’ to review the chart, place orders and document in real-time. It has the ability to pull data right into the documentation, which saves time and minimizes transcriptions errors. The tool also allows multiple providers to complete the discharge summary over time, which removes duplicative work. “Conservatively, UHS has seen a 60 percent reduction in transcription expenses, and 60-70 percent of the physicians are voluntarily using the program,” says Ori Lotan, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer at Crossings Healthcare Solutions.
