“Dream Mpage” Contest Winner’s Custom Page Goes Live

The Perinatal/Related Records tool is live at Huntington Hospital, and provides a central place to view all necessary information from both mother and baby’s electronic charts.

When Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California, entered the “Win Your Dream MPage” contest, they were looking for an MPage that would pull information from both mom and baby’s chart into one summary page.

As the winner, they collaborated with Crossings to develop the Perinatal/Related Records tool to create a central place for pediatricians, obstetricians and maternal-fetal nurses to view all necessary information from both mother and baby’s electronic charts.

“There was nothing available before,” says Jaclyn McGlone, Project Lead, Clinical Informatics. “We took the Cerner development platform and created a physician and nurse friendly tool. It not only saves time, but reduces errors in gathering data,” she says. “Other hospitals have seen how it works and want to improve how their data is aggregated.”

The tool has since gone live in 25 additional hospitals across the country and is available from the Crossings’ catalog. McGlone says they have received positive feedback so far, and that hospital staff is very excited to use the program.
